Welcome to Burlington Probus Club
A social club for retired businessmen, fostering friendship and networking within the international Probus community.

Our Chairman Mike Gold receiving his chain of office from the Immediate Past Chairman Eric Butterworth.
Hi, we are the Burlington Probus Club which now incorporates Bridlington Probus.
A part of Probus International, there are thousands of clubs like ours around the world.
As a group of retired businessmen we get together twice a month during our season from September to April each year to enjoy meetings with speakers from a wide range of organisations, charities and other interest groups as well as quizzes, lunches and day trips.
Joining our club is simplicity itself. You are welcome to come as a guest by calling anyone on the "Contact " page and if you feel that membership is for you, our secretary will provide you with all the information you need.
You can also request a call back, just leave your number on our Contact page and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you.
Our newly minted Luncheon Organiser, Chris Fairweather, is off to a flying start.
Here is his report on the recent joint luncheon with Filey Probus. Thanks for the hard work Chris.
Filey and Burlington Probus joint Autumn lunch
This years Autumn lunch was a joint affair between Filey Probus and ourselves on Wednesday 24th September at the North Star Hotel with approximately 40 in attendance.
As always the food was excellent and the staff looked after everyone very well and all seemed to have a good time.
The meal was organised by Ian Frain from Filey and he also handled all the formalities on the day including welcoming everyone, saying Grace, making the Toasts and running the raffle, although he did have a bit of help making sure people bought raffle tickets. There were quite a few prizes on offer so a lot of people went home even happier.
Jim Hornsby also said a few words on behalf of Burlington and thanked Ian for all his efforts.
There was added drama towards the end of the meal when the roof in the entranceway fell in due to a leak. However the staff managed the issue in a very professional manner and made sure no one was at risk of slipping on the wet floor as we left.
